• How it works?

Lockmagic doesn't use passwords to encrypt content. Instead users specify a set of recipient identities to grant access to the encrypted content. The identity is typically the recipient email address since this information is already known and shared with other people.
This makes it very easy to share encrypted content without any risk of forgetting passwords. The sender simply specifies the other people idenities when encrypting content. There is nothing extra the sender needs to do when composing a secure message. The list of authorized recipients is taken from the TO, CC and BCC fields.
Each recipient must sign in to Lockmagic using the same identity granted by the sender. Recipients can sign in to Lockmagic by registering their email address or use google authentication without registration. Only after the recipient identity has been verified and authorized to access the secure content, is the secure content decrypted.

    Local Encryption

Your data is never transmitted on the clear and only after the encryption process is performed on the local device is the secure data transmitted over the network. Lockmagic encrypts the entire user message, body and attachments, inside the web browser. The generated encrypted message is then attached to a template message that is sent to recipients. Similarly, decryption is performed on the local device inside your web browser and your data is not transmitted or accessed outside of it. Recipients open and decrypt the secure attachment to view original message body and attachments. The secure message is always stored encrypted in GMail.
