LockMagic Cloud Service
The LockMagic Cloud Service together with the LockMagic client software enables you to share and access Windows Encrypted Files using your e-mail address. No passwords to remember or encryption keys to manage. In order to determine your e-mail address and grant you access, you must first sign in with your Internet identity at LIVE , GMAIL ,YAHOO , AOL or OPEN ID. You can sign up for a Live ID account using your existing personal or professional email address. This enables other LockMagic users to send encrypted email messages and files to your existing email address without the need to learn about and authorize an additional Internet identity.
As a Software As A Service (SAAS), LockMagic allows the user to roam his identity no matter where that person physically resides or what device the user uses. With LockMagic, traditional encryption keys, and the management of them, are relics of the past. By using the email address of the user as the identity key, traditional methods of managing an email address can take place instead of the traditional method of managing a different set of encryption identity keys.
In addition to being a SAAS, additional desktop software is available that will further allow LockMagic to enhance the seamless protection of data on a desktop. At its core, LockMagic consists of the following:
- A cloud service that provides the gateway that authenticates access to a user’s data.
- A local service that provides the gateway that authenticates access to a user’s data in a corporate environment.
- A Microsoft Outlook plug-in that greatly enhances the user experience of sending encrypted email using LockMagic.
- A filesystem filter driver that zeros out the slack space on disk after data has been deleted.
- A filesystem filter driver that provides a secure workspace for users to work in.
EMAIL SECURITY
Safely share email messages and attachments with others knowning your sensitive information is encrypted. This ensures your attachments remain encrypted when saved and opened in the recipient computer. This unique Disk-to-Disk encryption guarantee guards your information if the recipient computer is lost or stolen. Authorize access to encrypted documents using Gmail, OpenId or Windows Live ID email addresses. No passwords or keys to manage. This is ideal for secure communication with partners, customers and remote users. Even if the original email message is forwarded and accessed by an unauthorized user the file attachments remain protected and your data is safe.

FILE AND DOCUMENT SECURITY
Secure all your files regardless of where they are stored - on a local drive, network share or flash drive. Share your encrypted files securely with others using Active Directory groups or Live ID email names. Encrypt your critical folders - My Documents, Outlook PST files, virtual hard disk (VHD) files and other sensitive folders without changing the way you work. Simply start the LockMagic secure workspace and access these files through it, your files are transparently compressed and encrypted. Secure your files on flash drive with LockMagic and access them from any XP Pro or Vista computer in the World using your Live ID, Open ID or Gmail username/password. No need to worry about extra passwords or manual export of certificates. In addition, you access the flash drive through the LockMagic secure workspace for transparent encryption and compression.

CLOUD BASED ENCRYPTION SERVICE
Safely encrypt and store sensitive information in Windows Live Mesh, SkyDrive, or any cloud based storage system. Install LockMagic software to encrypt data and store it online. Manually encrypt each file/folder or user the Secure Workspace to transparently encrypt your data. You can share the encrypted files with other people by specifying their LiveId, OpendID or Gmail addresses. This is useful to access your backup from multiple computers without having to manage encryption keys.
